Dr. Gonzalez has been in private practice since 1987 in New York City treating cancer and other degenerative diseases. He graduated from Brown University, Phi Beta Kappa, and magna cum laude, pursued premedical studies at Columbia University as a postgraduate student and received his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College. That's what Conrad Fischer, M.D., a medical specialist and teacher with over two decades of dedication to studying and treating infectious diseases, wondered. Surveying over 3,000 residents and young doctors, he was disheartened to find that 80 percent of respondents believed that medicine was better to practice a quarter-century ago. So, he set out to examine why and do something about it.
