John Sharp, M.D. is a psychiatrist and neuropsychiatrist specializing in the integrated psychotherapy and psycho-pharmacologic treatment of attention deficit, mood, and anxiety disorders in adolescents and adults. He maintains an active private practice in Boston and Los Angeles. Dr. Sharp is a member of the medical staff at the Beth-Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. He is on Faculty at Harvard Medical School and the David Geffen School of Medicine, University of California, Los Angeles.
Dr. Sharp is renowned nationally for translating and synthesizing complex scientific data into individualized, evidence-based messages. He writes and lectures widely on his specialty and serves as an expert regarding professional competence and the standard of psychiatric care. He is the author of The Emotional Calendar, a book published in 2011 by Times Books, an imprint of Henry Holt & Company.
