Bhutan is truly a precious gem of a country ... unique in all the world. As the only pure Buddhist country, it embodies the essence of compassion towards all life. It is a stunning, pristine, diverse landscape ... ranging from lush subtropical plains in the south to the sub-alpine Himalayan mountains in the north, where there are peaks higher than 7,000 metres (23,000 ft).
It is a modern day Garden of Eden with 72 percent of Bhutan under forest cover.
Everything about Bhutan is majestic ....the 1000 year old buddhist temples, the second largest Buddha statue in the world.
Since the foundation of Bhutan, spirituality and compassion have been integrated with governance.
Bhutan is the only country in the world that has a Gross National Happiness Index. What is the GNH? It is a measure of economic and moral progress that the King of Bhutan introduced in the 1970s as an alternative to gross domestic product. What other country in the world has such a mandate?
The Kingdom of Bhutan is calling me ... and perhaps you!
I am organizing a small group to explore Bhutan from Oct 19-31, 2020. Over the 12 days, it will be an opportunity to experience many facets of this truly unique country.
This trip will a naturalist's adventure, a spiritual pilgrimage, a cultural exploration and a healing journey - all rolled up in one unforgettable experience.

Our tour company is Cypress
Himalaya who works with only the best Bhutanese local guides, who are well trained and certified by the Government via Tourism Council of Bhutan. We will be staying in some of the most traditional Bhutanese architect made hidden hotels and resorts found anywhere in the world.
I have arranged for us to have many unique experiences, so we can fully immerse ourselves in this unique culture.
It may seem like October 2020 is way in the future, but visiting the Kingdom of Bhutan is unlike visiting any other country which includes organizing visas, accommodation and domestic flights in advance.
There are only a limited number of visas given each
year and since there is only one flight a day into Bhutan (from the city of your choice Bangkok, Katmandu or New
Delhi), plans need to be made a little sooner than in most other destinations.
It is possible to either arrive earlier and stay longer. Jill, our contact from Cypress Himalaya will be in touch with you and, if you so choose, to help you add on additional experiences. There are many to choose from - like learning Bhutanese arts and crafts, to outdoor adventures to meditation
retreats.
This will be a small group experience so we can have the deepest and most memorable time in this magical land.
Our Timeline:
Oct/Nov: Cypress Himalaya will need to get a sense of how many air tickets to reserve, and hotels. The will also reserve hotels, air tickets are via Kathmandu or Bangkok or Delhi. NOTE: If people want to fly through Delhi, they will have to apply for an Indian Visa.
November/December: Deposits and Wire Transfers begin. Cypress Himalaya will
email the Deposits and Wire Transfers information direct to each participant
Jan/Feb 2020: Confirmation of all room, air tickets, and participants
twill be send heir air tickets via email. Visas will be applied for as late as 1 month before Travel time.
Final
registrations, air tickets by March 15. (this month/date can change as it depends on when we begin to reserve the air tickets)
