Dr. Michael Nelson, DC, Has been practicing Functional Medicine for over 22 years. Dr Nelson is the founder and director of Sierra Tahoe Wellness Center in Reno/Lake Tahoe area.
His practice focuses on establishing optimal wellness and health strategies for his patients based on the most up to date scientific evidence and the innate wisdom of our bodies. He has successfully treated thousands of patients over the course of his career in an integrated and holistic manner. Identifying and treating estrogen metabolism is a primary focus of his treatment strategies for both men and women.
Dr Nelson has worked with the worlds top researchers, physicians and scientists in bringing cutting edge treatments from bench to bedside. He worked over 9 years in the Neonatal Intensive care and ICU setting prior to receiving his Doctorate degree in 1993 from the University of Western States in Portland Oregon.
