Susan Frances Morris, author of THE SENSITIVE ONE: A Memoir, was raised in Springfield, Massachusetts.

She holds a bachelor's degree in nursing and the highlight of her career has been the time she spent at Yale-New Haven Hospital in New Haven Connecticut working in nursing management.

At age fifty, Susan Morris was diagnosed with breast cancer and was determined to get a deeper understanding of the underlying causes. She’s surprised to discover research showing that long-term exposure to stress and traumatic childhood experiences can both increase the risk of breast cancer.
